The John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights is dedicated to fostering the continual movement of Edmonton as a Human Rights City. The John Humphrey Centre and the Human Rights City Edmonton is pleased to introduce a free and public monthly Human Rights Cafe series, in partnership with our trained Human Rights Facilitators, to explore critical human rights issues and how these are a part of our daily lives.
The Series will revolve around the different internationally recognized "Days" which identify a human rights issues. The series will take place on the first Sunday afternoon of each month at the Three Bananas Cafe in Sir Winston Churchill Square. This space will be the place to create dialogue or discuss a pre-selected book on the human rights topic of the month.
